Program Overview
From the Podium to Practice: Translating Emerging ATTR-CM Evidence Across Underserved and Underrecognized Populations is a four-part, mobile-accessible CME series designed to help clinicians translate emerging congress data into evidence-based care for patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). Released approximately 45–60 days following four major cardiovascular congresses, each module focuses on critical gaps in recognition, diagnosis, and treatment across underrecognized patient populations, including women, African American patients with the p.Val142Ile variant, and patients presenting with atrial fibrillation or conduction system disease.
Through expert faculty commentary, interactive case-based learning, infographic-driven evidence summaries, embedded polling, and AI-generated patient video cases, learners will apply emerging clinical evidence to real-world diagnostic and treatment decisions. All four modules are housed within this learning experience and are designed for busy healthcare professionals seeking practical, immediately applicable education in ATTR-CM care.

Target Audience
This educational initiative is designed for cardiologists, including general cardiologists, heart failure specialists, and electrophysiologists, as well as internal medicine physicians, primary care clinicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the recognition and management of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify female-specific ATTR-CM phenotypic features.
- Apply adjusted diagnostic criteria in women presenting with HFpEF and ventricular wall thickening.
- Select ATTR-CM therapy in women using emerging sex-stratified evidence, individualized to disease stage and functional status.
- Apply structured diagnostic and genetic screening protocols to African American patients with HFpEF, wall thickening, or unexplained LVH, distinguishing V142I ATTR-CM from hypertensive cardiomyopathy.
- Optimize treatment among available ATTR-CM therapies for p.Val142Ile patients based on disease stage, comorbidities, and cross-class comparative evidence; initiate cascade genetic screening.
- Implement a structured ATTR-CM screening protocol for patients presenting to electrophysiologists with AF, AV block, bundle branch block, or unexplained conduction system disease.
- Apply emerging arrhythmia-specific trial evidence to modify procedural planning, anticoagulation decisions, and TTR-directed therapy sequencing in patients with confirmed ATTR-CM and concomitant AF or conduction system disease.
- Synthesize 2026 congress evidence across TTR stabilizer and silencer classes to identify practice-changing findings, recognize remaining guideline gaps
